Sensitive Material Inside.....

Since I can't seem to find anyone ever...around....... here goes..... what more can a girl do [img]wink.gif[/img]

My absense from the board has been for many reasons......

First and foremost I took a class this summer that required me to spend a fair amount of time reading and testing..... HOLY COW im glad that is done.

Then not long after that, my teaching job for this fall came in to play. Meetings, workshops and room organizing has kept me running most days. Since work is a 90 mile round trip drive that's 2 extra hours added to the work day...I come home and I am soo exhausted. The heat doesn't help.

But beyond all of that, I have even better news. We are finally pregnant!....!!!!!!!!!!

YeP!!! IT's true. I've known for a very long time but I couldn't even allow myself to get too excited about it w/ the world til I could see the Dr. At the beginning of JUne I knew I needed to do a routine PG test. I wait til day 35 of my period... if no period ( and there are a lot of times there isn't one. Then I start taking a hormone to bring on hemmorage if necessary. Well, NOT NECESSARY!....

I knew this month (MAy) seemed different. New plans, job, wedding to go to, family vacation....I just felt more alive....Day 35 came and went but I decided to wait till Day 40 because I actually had a feeling it might be real...... so DAy 39.... I toook a test and it didn't say I was pregnant...it said .....a c onfusing mix of what it should normally say.... so, I got dressed real fast...went to the store...bought about SIX more boxes of tests and made sure I bought an expensive but easy to read digital display. I pee'd on it....and instantly it read pregnant. HOLY CRAP I almost died and cried right th ere. My phone rang about the same time and it was the neighbor across the street so I made her come over and see if I was dillusional... or whacko..... !!!

So, finally..... MOnday, July 31....We went to the Dr... and had our first blood tests, ultrasounds and checkup...and it's for real......im 3 months pregnant!!!!! It was such a long time to wait, most women don't know at week 4 or 5 they are pregnant... so I had to wait to see the Dr a lot longer......

Anyways, watch this space.........FEbruary 18th 2008 - - - due date!

I want to find out if it's a boy or GIrl...Bubba does not..... want to find out so we have that to figure out.....

Deep down, I think my need to know if it's a B or a G stems from wanting my MOm to have the peace of mind in knowing she has a grandson or granddaughter........ her time on this planet is pretty fragile.... and well, I think she deserves to know and make a relationship w/ lil CLetus the Fetus as a person...not just a baby..... =)

So thats why I've been so distant...I want to ramble ramble ramble... and yet....I couldn't say a word til I saw the heart beat..... heard the heartbeat.... I needed security....

I realize people don't really come here all that often a nymore and I can't really blame anyone.... there isn't much to see......

But now, my friends.... I will be living on a whole other planet... and im so giddy I could just scream... and im scared cuz well...im scared....and every other emotion....

I'm going to be a MOmmy =)

I never expected that....I truly truly, from the bottom of my heart....took those awful fertility pills every month... so that when the time came to quit trying, I could say with an honest heart.... that I tried my best.... and be able to grieve w/o too much guilt....

Just 3 short years ago I faced a battle w/ endometrial cancer.... worry about had it spread? Would I get to keep my parts? What should I about my future......

Well, my future is here and now, pretty darn happy and it looks quite bright.....!!!!!!

SIde note:::..... I switched Dr's at the last minute to one in state....not back in MN...he changed the medicine he put me on... and I wonder...if that did it? I don't know... but

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYEAH!!!!!!

For anyone reading this thread, I can tell you that Amy has a real "glow" about her...And from the way she and her hubby talk, they are so rightly proud...

I felt privileged that they told me when I visited, but it's incredible to think that the next time I see Amy, she'll be a mother!!! I'm glad she didn't go into any detail about all that "peeing on a stick" business though [img]cool.gif[/img]

And Amy...you know what your mother thinks about knowing - she made it fairly obvious [img]wink.gif[/img]

And how's that classroom taking shape??? [img]wink.gif[/img]
